September is Arthritis Awareness Month

Arthritis is a serious disease that can put your entire life on hold. From going to work or attending school, participating in physical activity, caring for children and family, getting a good night’s sleep, or even enjoying the spontaneity of daily life – arthritis takes a toll on every aspect of living. It’s the leading cause of work disability in Canada and can cause life-threatening complications like heart attacks, strokes, and blood clots. It is not a disease of the elderly; arthritis can strike at any time, even in very young children.

Arthritis Research Canada is committed to answering the call with research-based solutions. Our patient-centred research provides knowledge, tools and resources to help people overcome the challenges of arthritis and live life to the fullest.

Join us this September to learn more about arthritis, how cutting-edge research impacts more than six million Canadians, and how you can help.
